Information About People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI)
The PPHI initiative started from District Kashmore in 2007, later expanding to 22 districts of Sindh. It is a not-for-profit company set up under section 42 of The Companies Act 2017. Moreover, its non-profit agenda is highly endorsed by the Pakistan Centre of Philanthropist (PCP). Carved from the WHO model, the organization seeks to fulfill all healthcare needs. Also, doctors and medical staff working tend to receive grant incentives. Pointing towards the PPHI’s aims, mortality rates have greatly reduced. To this day, the PPHI is leading 1,174 health facilities in rural Sindh. Apart from having top-notch machines, the organization also provides free medicines. Furthermore, female workers and trained midwives are also a part of the team.
