Information About Defence Housing Authority (DHA)
Defence Housing Authority (DHA) is a public sector agency that was established in the 1950s, with a mandate to provide housing for military personnel.
The DHA is now one of the largest property developers in Pakistan and has developed more than 300 residential schemes since its inception. It works in Karachi, Multan, Lahore, Bahawalpur, Islamabad, etc.
It also provides affordable housing for low-income groups through its subsidiary, CDA (Central Development Authority). The DHA has developed 30 townships, comprising 40000 acres of land across Pakistan.
The DHA is governed by the Federal Government of Pakistan, which approves policies and plans for its development. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) is responsible for policymaking concerning the aims, objectives, directions, and functions of DHA as an organization.
